old storyline

Midnight came, and all the members are still waiting by SeoHyun's bed. She was warded in a single-bed ward and because of this the members were granted permission to stay even after visiting hours. The members all requested for it since they cannot accompany her in a two patient room. Plus, they think that SeoHyun deserves to have her privacy while being so bruise and broken. YongHwa just came back to the hospital with some of her clothing, looking very tired. As he went into SeoHyun's ward, he noticed that JungShin and JongHyun were fast asleep on the couch. The only person awake was MinHyuk and he was sitting on a chair next to SeoHyun's bed.


YongHwa: MinHyuk ah... why aren't you sleeping like them?

MinHyuk: Can't sleep. I rather watch her. She might wake anytime.

YongHwa: Maybe you should get some rest now since I'm here. I'll take over.

MinHyuk: No, hyung. I don't want to sleep.

YongHwa: *dragging another chair and sits beside MinHyuk* Okay, fine. But... are you okay?

MinHyuk: Yeah... I'm okay. I just feel so bad.

YongHwa: Why? You've done nothing wrong.

MinHyuk: I didn't do anything to hurt her. But, I blamed her for abandoning her duties and said bad things about her when she was being trampled on by tonnes of fans. I actually said all those words when she was in such pain. I feel so sorry towards her.

YongHwa: Kwenchana... I'm sure she won't mind. Plus, she doesn't even know.

MinHyuk: I know that she doesn't know, but I still feel bad. *looking down*

YongHwa: She'll be okay. It's just a few broken bones. She'll be okay. *patting MinHyuk's back*


-after a moment of silence-


MinHyuk: Hyung...

YongHwa: Hmmm?

MinHyuk: Can I ask you something?

YongHwa: Okay.

MinHyuk: What happened this morning?

YongHwa: Huh? *looking at MinHyuk*

MinHyuk: This morning... I think I saw you hugging Hyun. Did I really see you hugging Hyun?

YongHwa: *didn't answer*

MinHyuk: Hyung... I really did? *slowly realising the true answer*

YongHwa: *looks down*

MinHyuk: *shocked* Hyung...

YongHwa: Hmmm?

MinHyuk: *curious* You... like her? You... like Hyun?

YongHwa: *silence*

MinHyuk: I guess I know now...

YongHwa: MinHyuk ah... I'm not sure about it even myself. I just know that I care about her. Please, don't mention it to anyone.

MinHyuk: Okay. No problem...

YongHwa: She must be in a great deal of pain before this. I can't forget her tearful face, telling me how painful it is. I don't even know what to do.

MinHyuk: Me too. Maybe that's the reason why I can't sleep.

YongHwa: Nobody came before this right?

MinHyuk: No. The nurse just came in and gave us her clothes and her other stuffs. Oh right, the nurse said that her phone rang once when they were treating her. I guess there must be a miss call.

YongHwa: Really? Maybe it is her family members. I think we should contact them. Pass me the phone.

MinHyuk: Okay, hyung. *reaching for the phone*


Eventhough SeoHyun is sleeping, she somewhat still can hear the boys mumbling beside her. Although she cannot make a clear version out of their conversation, she did her something about 'call family'. She cannot let them lose her secret of working as a manager. But, she couldn't force her eyes open! She just couldn't move!


SeoHyun: *trying her hardest to wake up* Please don't call my parents. *thinking to herself*

YongHwa: Let's check the miss calls.

SeoHyun: *thinking to herself* No... Please! *still couldn't open her eyes.

MinHyuk: Right here. It is her dad. It is written Appa.

SeoHyun: *forcing her eyes open* No...

YongHwa and MinHyuk: HUH?! *their heads turn towards SeoHyun*

SeoHyun: *having a hard time trying to talk* No...

YongHwa: *temporarily forgetting about the phone* Oh my GOD! I should find the nurse.

MinHyuk: Hyun, are you okay now? *speaking loudly because he is excited*

JongHyun and JungShin: Huh? *just waking up because of MinHyuk*

MinHyuk: Guys, she's awake.

JongHyun and JungShin: *standing up to see SeoHyun* Hyun ah, how are you feeling?

YongHwa: *coming in with the nurse* Please see her.

Nurse: Her blood pressure and heart rate are normal. I think she should be fine. The doctor said that if she wakes up with normal rates, everything should be fine. She is not in any danger now.

C.N.Blue: Really? Thank you very much.

Nurse: *smiling and leaving* You're all welcome.

YongHwa: Hyun ah, do you still feel pain? Are you okay?

SeoHyun: *looking around at all the members* *smiling*

YongHwa: What does a smile mean? Okay? Not okay? Not-so-okay?

SeoHyun: O...kay... *mustering all her energy to talk*

JungShin: Hyung, stop pestering her. She's tired when she talk.

YongHwa: Oh right... *scratching his head*

SeoHyun: Don't...call...

C.N.Blue: Don't call?

SeoHyun: *feeling terrible* My... parents...

C.N.Blue: EH? Why?

SeoHyun: *trying to sit up without success*

MinHyuk: Hyun ah, you can't sit. You must lie down. *holding down her shoulders*

SeoHyun: *giving up* They don't know...

MinHyuk: Huh? Of course they don't know. We just wanted to inform them but you woke up. So we haven't call them yet.

SeoHyun: *relieved* No... they... don't know... my job.

C.N.Blue: Your job?

SeoHyun: Yes... I lied... to them too...

JongHyun: You mean, even your parents don't know you're working as our manager?

SeoHyun: Yes...

JungShin: But, how did you manage to lie that well? *curious*

SeoHyun: *tired and thirsty* Ah... I'm very thirsty. MinHyuk, can you please pass me a glass of water?

MinHyuk: Right away.

YongHwa: Hey, I think we shouldn't question her so much now. She's not in a fit state.

JungShin: I'm sorry. I should've been more sensible. Hope you get well soon, Hyun.

SeoHyun: *drinks the water and feels much better* I'm fine. The nurse just said so. Don't worry about me, okay?

YongHwa: It is impossible to NOT worry about you, Hyun. If you would need a mirror, do you want to look at yourself now? I think the whole of your right side looks broken.

SeoHyun: *Looking at herself* I do? Oh right, I do look quite wrapped up. Hehe...

MinHyuk: How come you would end up on the floor?

SeoHyun: I was pushed down... Well, you know, once I reached there, the fan signing event has just started. The girls in front started pushing and I can sense a fight going on, so I called some security to prevent the fight from happening. Suddenly, things just got worse when more fangirls tries to be first. Then, before I know it, I'm down on the floor covering my head.

C.N.Blue: *listening intently to SeoHyun*

SeoHyun: I did call for help... I did. But... nobody came. The guards... they were just protecting you guys... *starting to tear up as she remembers this painful incident*

YongHwa: *moves towards SeoHyun and sits on her bed* Don't cry... It's over now. Stop thinking about it anymore. *place an arm over her shoulders*

SeoHyun: *smiling weakly* Actually, I so happy that I woke up to a whole room of members. I never thought all of you would be her, accompanying me till I regain consciousness.

MinHyuk: Don't be. I will feel even worse.

SeoHyun: *tilts her head* Why?

MinHyuk: I'm so sorry Hyun. I thought you were not doing your job well as a manager when the chaos broke, so I said bad things about you. I hope you forgive me. I didn't knew such things could happen to you.

SeoHyun: *grabs MinHyuk's hand* It's okay... I don't even mind.

MinHyuk: I'm glad you're fine. I kinda like our manager nowadays. I don't think I want anything to happen to you yet. Hehe!

SeoHyun: Hehe! Okay now. I'm fine right? You guys go home and rest. You still hve scheduled activity tomorrow. You all know your schedules already right? I hope it's okay that I'm currently warded. I'll try my best to get out of this place as soon as possible.

C.N.Blue: Oh no!

SeoHyun: *frowning* WHY?

JongHyun: You should rest. You got hurt because of your duty anyway. I'm sure the company won't mind if you rest a little more.

SeoHyun: But... I don't want to. I hate this place.

JungShin: *stern look* No BUTS!

Other 3 membes: AHAHAHAHAH! Oooh our maknae has got some authority in him.

SeoHyun: *pouting* Fine. Now, you guys go back. I'll see you in about 4 days.

YongHwa: *surprised* WHY? FOUR DAYS?

SeoHyun: That's because your schedule says you're busy with promotional activities for the next 4 days. So, you can't possibly be here for the next 4 days. Simple.

YongHwa: Ugh... right. But, we promise to be here once we're free. Right members?

MinHyuk: Yup!

SeoHyun: Hey, I'm very happy that you are all so caring but I really don't want to be a burden to all of you. If you do get some free time, spend it on resting. Promise me?

JongHyun: No, of course not.

SeoHyun: Pleaseeeee........ *showing her best puppy face*

C.N.Blue: *giving in* Okay okay... fine.

YongHwa: But, you better be expecting at least 10 calls a day from us.

SeoHyun: Hahaha! Don't exaggerate. I know there won't be 10 calls a day. You're just too busy to have the time. Now go on! Go home and rest. Thank you for being with me all day. I'm so happy amidst all this pain.

JungShin: Yup... We know. Haha! You are getting special treatment that tonnes of girl pray day and night, wishing to get this good treatment.

SeoHyun: Stop showing off your superstar attitude, JungShin. I'll send you nightmares in your dreams.

JungShin: *sticking out his tongue* As if you really can.

JongHyun: *yawning* Okay then. I guess we really should leave now. Have a good rest SeoHyun.

MinHyuk: Yeah... I really hope to see you up and about soon.

YongHwa: *reluctant to leave* Kurom... I guess we should leave... now. Sigh...

SeoHyun: *smiling widely* Goodnight...

The boys left the room after they wished each other goodnight. The moment the door closes, SeoHyun's facial expression totally changed. Her eyebrows cringed together. Tears start to gradually wet her eyes. The anaesthesia is running off her system as time goes by.

SeoHyun: Oh my god... why does it hurt so much? Argh....


-2 days later-

[C.N.Blue Dorm]

MinHyuk: Ah... finally our activities are done for today. I'm freaking tired. Hyung, have you called Hyun today?

JongHyun: Yeah... I did. She sounds like she is faring well. Everything seems to be fine.

MinHyuk: Really? Hmmm... Kurom, I think I will call it a day now.

JongHyun: Okay... chal-ja.

JungShin: I'm going to sleep too.

YongHwa: Erm, I think I'm going to sleep too. JongHyun ah, you better sleep too. We have more activities tomorrow. We've got to manage ourselves well since we're manager-less.

JongHyun: Okay then. See you tomorrow. * heads towards his room*

The moment JongHyun's door closes, YongHwa quietly tiptoed out of his room.

YongHwa: *carefully tiptoeing while thinking to himself* Sorry Hyun, but I don't think I can wait for 4 days... Just a little peek won't kill, will it?

With this exceptionally good skills at sneaking out the dorm right after curfew hours, YongHwa travels to the hospital with a taxi. Of course, even at this late at night, he is properly disguised with square glasses and a beanie.

[At the hospital]

Nurse: Oh, YongHwa-shii, you're here so late. Are you visiting SeoHyun? But it is after visiting hours now.

YongHwa: I know. I hope you will just let me see her for awhile? Is she asleep?

Nurse: Erm, she was in a lot of pain for these past 2 days. So, the doctor just prescribed another dose of analgesics to let her sleep better. She should be well asleep.

YongHwa: She's in a lot of pain?! *shocked*

Nurse: Well, yes of course! What's so shocking about that? That girl has broken two quite major bones. I mean, you would even scream in pain if you just merely sliced a finger. Imagine comparing the pain of slicing a finger to breaking two bones! Honestly, she has been suffering quite alot.

YongHwa: But... she looked okay the last time I saw her. Plus, she didn't sound like she was in pain everytime we called to check on her.

Nurse: That girl is a strong girl, in a way. I guess she has been staying strong so that you guys don't worry that much about her.

YongHwa: Thank you for telling me this. I'm going in now. *opening the ward door*

SeoHyun is indeed in deep sleep. YongHwa walked-in the ward quietly and sat down beside her bed. She looked so fragile in his eyes. YongHwa was just staring intently onto SeoHyun's tired face when suddenly SeoHyun stirred in her sleep.

SeoHyun: *sleep-talking* It hurts... Stop... Don't step... It hurts...

YongHwa: *holding SeoHyun's hand gently* It's okay... Nobody's stepping on you. You're safe. You are okay now.

SeoHyun: *falling back in deep sleep*

YongHwa: *whispering* Hyun ah... Oppa is really sorry for not being there for you when you're in trouble. I really don't understand why but seeing you in this state really hurts me like hell. Yet, I'm so tempted to come and have a peek at you. It is like my heart just can't control itself anymore. Mianhe, Hyun ah... I really don't know what else I can do for you.

He whispers confessions of his true feelings to an unconscious SeoHyun. All because it's hard to keep it in forever...
